A LETTER FROM
YOUR
TRAILMASTER
Hello
Fellow
Snowmobilers,
I'd
like
to
start
off
this
letter
by
introducing
myself.
My
Name
is
Mathew
Bouchard,
I'm
your
current
Trail master
for
the
New
Hampshire
Trail
Dawgs
Snowmobile
Club.
I
have
been
a
club
member
for
3
years
now
and
have
enjoyed
every
minute
of
it.
I
have
volunteered
my
time
and
put
a
lot of
club
hours
to
work
before
getting
elected
to
be
the
trail master.
Thank
you
to
all
who
voted
as
it
is
a
pleasure
to
be
able
to
have
this
position
within
the
club
so
I
can
now
do
my
best
to
keep
the
trails
in
TIP-TOP
shape
to
the
best
of
my
ability.
Now
onto
trail
news....
I
have
been
hard
at
work
meeting
current
and
"new"
landowners
trying
to
gain
access
to
"old"
trails
that
have
not
been
maintained
in
the
past
and/or
have
not
open
for
some
time.
This
is
all
being
done
with
the
idea
in
the
back
of
my
mind
to
hopefully
get
these
trails
open
again
and
allow
the
NHTD
Snowmobile
Club
to
have
more
miles
of
riding
in
Southern,
N.H.
I
have
also
gain
access
this
year
for
the use
of
the land
owned
by
The
Montminy's
Country
Store
to
be
able
to
groom
the
power line
from
trail
#15
to
The
Montminy's
Country
Store,
I
currently
have
to
get
2
other
land
owners
to
obtain
permission
from
to
hopefully
make
this
a
loop
back
to
the
power lines,
a
small
loop
but
more
trail
to
ride!
SO
as
it
looks
at least
there
will
be
a
groomed
from
the
power lines
from
trail
#15
to
The
Montminy's
Country
Store.
The
current
person
whom
is
leasing
the
store
said
he
may
try
to
keep
it
open
for
a
bit
during
the
weekends.
If
no
one
come
in
than
he
will
close
the
store
but
the
trail
will
still
be
open.
As
for
Trails
that
have
been
worked
on,
there
was
a
small
group
of
us
totaling
5
people
who
had
re-decked
a
few
bridges
on
the
Trail#15 between
North
Pembroke
Road
and
Live
and
Let Live
Farm
in
Chichester,
This
went
pretty
smooth.
We
will
be
building
a
new
bridge
on Trail#15 in
the
farmers
field
at
the
Main
Street
trail
Junction
in
Chichester
hopefully
within
the
next
week.
Also
the
bridge
on
Trail#15
between
Route
4
and
Main
Street
in
Chichester
had
washed
away
this
spring
and
is
going
to
be
put
back
in
place
the
same
time
the
bridge
is
built
in just
up
the
trail
from
the
washout.
THANK
YOU
to
The
HESS
Gas
Station
in
Chichester
as
they
have
granted
us
permission
to
sign
and
groom the
trail
going
directly
onto
the
Gas
Station
property allowing
easier
access
to
the
Pumps, Drinks
and
Hot/Cold
Food.
This
should
be
nicer
this
year
as
long
as
the
snow
is
here! You
will
notice
a lot
better
signage
on
the
trail
this
year,
I
have
been
working
overtime
to
make
sure
the
trails
are
COMPLETELY
signed,
it
makes
it
a lot
easier
to
enjoy
trails
when
you
know
where
you
are.
Another
thing
you
will
notice
is
the
NEW
signs
that
state:
ENTERING
N.H.
TRAIL
DAWGS
SYSTEM
PLEASE
STAY
ON
TRAILS.
These
signs
are
located
at
the
Bear
Brook
State
Park
Trail#15
Entrance
and also
Main
Street,
Chichester
Junction.
Please
keep
in
mind
that
all
these
trails
are
being
used
with
the
respect
for
snowmobiles
by
private
land
owners
and
without
them
we
have
no
trails.
Thank
a
land
owner
if
you
happen
to
see
them
out
while
going
through
their
property,
this
makes
it
a lot
easier
in
the
coming
years
to
gain
access
to
these
trails
again.
If
you
come
in
contact
with
a
groomer
while
ridding
please
make
it
a
point
to
address
us
with
a
comment
or
concern
as
we
are
volunteers
and
all
comments
or
concerns
make
us
as
groomer
operators
more
aware
of
what
needs
to
be
done
or
the
appreciative
thoughts
from
snowmobile
using
the
trail
system.
TRAIL
HAZARDS
TO
KEEP
IN
MIND:
#1.
The
Trail
Dawgs
Loop
Trails
WILL
BE
OPEN
EXCEPT
for
6th
Range
Road
Trail....
THIS
TRAIL
WILL
BE
CLOSED
PERMANENTLY
FOR
THIS
YEAR.
The
Bridge
is
Permanently
out
and
Thank
you
to
the
help
of
the
4x4
trucks
driving
over
it,
it
is
NOW
IMPASSABLE!
It
is
unknown
as
to
if
this
trail
will
ever
be
open
as
the
damage
is
extreme.
#2.
There
is
logging
operations
that
have
just
started
on
the
Range
Road
(TRAIL#15),
I
have
contacted
the
logging
company
as
to
how
long
they
think
this job is
going
to last
and
have
not
heard
back
as
of
the
writing
of
this
letter
so
I'm
unable
to
give
any
details.
I
will
post
it
on
the
Trail
Dawgs
Website
Trail
Conditions
as
soon
as
I
hear.
So
with
this
all
said
I'd
like
to
close
this
letter
once
again
thanking
you,
CLUB
MEMBERS,
for
allowing
me
to
serve
as
the
Trail master
and
if
there
is
ANY
trail
concerns
PLEASE
FEEL
FREE
to
contact
me
ANYTIME
on
my
cell
phone
at:
603-344-9433.
If
I
don't
answer
leave
a
message
and
I'll
do
my
best
to
address
the
situation
ASAP.
Furthermore
I
urge
you
all
to
keep
checking
the
Trail
Conditions
at
the
club
forum
on
the
Website
as
I
(grooming
crew)
post
frequently
about
trail
conditions
and
hazards.
Respectfully
Submitted,
Mathew
A.
